Buenos Aires, November 14 (NA) – Judge Andrés Basso, one of the judges who convicted former President Cristina Kirchner in the Vialidad case, was re-elected president of the Association of Magistrates, a trade union body that brings together judges, prosecutors, and officials of the national and federal judiciary throughout the country. Basso, who led the Bordó List, obtained 1,130 votes, while the Celeste List, which is closer to Peronism, secured 689, and Judicial Commitment, 527. He will preside over the Association of Magistrates, whose members represent judges on the National Council of the Magistracy. Meanwhile, as learned by the Argentine News Agency, Basso will be accompanied by prosecutor Ricardo Sáenz, a renowned figure from the Public Prosecutor's Office, who will join as vice president of the AMFJN. With this victory, the so-called Bordó List has regained control of the Board of Directors of the Association, which is now composed as follows: 12 members from the Bordó List, 7 from the Celeste List, and 5 from Judicial Commitment. The 12 counselors who will accompany Basso on said board are: María Elena López, Ignacio Rodríguez Berdier, Ricardo Sáenz, María Carolina Ocampo, Luciano Lauría, Eliseo Alejandro López, María Victoria Pereira, Manuel Pizarro, Marcelo Gallo Tagle, Natalia Caviglia, Alicia Braghini, and Benjamín Solá.
